She made everything so easy by being organized with a calm presence! She remembered to capture every single detail I mentioned!

Mary & Travis | French Quarter Engagement Session

Okay y’all. This is it. This is the year I BLOG ALL THE THINGS. I did so great with weddings last year. Engagement sessions and bridals, not so much. So now my website is nothing but wedding posts :/ I always say I’m going to go back and catch up on old sessions and that seems super daunting, so I’m just going to commit to blogging as I go for now. Honestly, the writing part is the biggest struggle for me and the reason I put them off!

Anyways, I had a blast with Mary and Travis in New Orleans a couple of weeks ago! They are from Baton Rouge (I just shot Mary’s sister’s wedding last fall, who I also happened to go to high school with!) but they both live in New Orleans now and work in the medical field – she’s a nurse & he’s in med school. Fun fact: those are THE most common professions of my couples! We met up near Jackson Square, and thankfully there were way less people than you’re used to seeing in the French Quarter. Having sessions on weekdays helps a TON with the crowd factor! We even ventured to City Park and it was basically empty as well. A beautiful afternoon with a beautiful couple, it doesn’t get better than that!
