frequently asked questions

For most weddings, I’ve learned that 8 hours is the sweet spot for capturing the entire story of your day! If multiple locations and a longer ceremony are involved, I might recommend 9 hours, but we can work on your timeline together. The main goal right now is securing your date on my calendar!

Q: Is 8 hours enough wedding day coverage? Too much?

tell me more about your day!

The engagement session helps us get to know one another and get into a groove with shooting and posing, so when the big day comes, you’ll be a natural (that’s one less thing to stress about!) Plus, this time as an engaged couple is truly fleeting - and it deserves to be celebrated (and documented) too!

Q: Why should I have an engagement session?

Spring and fall are the most popular (and book up the fastest) due to the milder temperatures. All engagement sessions take place on weekday evenings approximately 2 hours prior to sunset. I recommend getting on my calendar 1-2 months in advance, especially during those busier seasons!

Q: When should we take engagements?

Absolutely! No matter which package you choose, we can always add on additional sessions, hours, or even an album as we get closer to your big day!

Q: Can I add a bridal session later?

While I’d love to take your bridals too, your engagement session gift can’t be substituted. Your engagements give the three of us the opportunity to work together pre-wedding and sets the stage for the big day. If you’d like to add bridals to your package, we can definitely do that!

Q: I already took engagements. Can the engagement session be swapped for a bridal session?

You get better: access to an online digital gallery of hi-res photos. That means you will have full access to all of your photos from anywhere, making it super easy to share as a link with friends and family, order prints, and download.

Q: Do I get a USB of my photos?

The unique thing about being a wedding photographer is that different parts of the day call for different approaches to shooting. I love being both involved during times like family portraits, and also discreet during the moments when you shouldn’t even know I’m there, like the ceremony, toasts, first dances, etc.

Q: What is your shooting style?

Every wedding is different, and certain factors (like the number of attendants) can make gallery size vary. However, on average, you can expect to receive 60-90 images per hour of me shooting, giving you tons of coverage to relive your big day for years to come.

Q: How many images will I receive?

You’ll receive your online gallery within 4-6 weeks. And, trust me, they’ll be well worth the (short) wait!

Q: How long will it take to get my images?

Wedding dates are secured with a signed contract and a retainer of $1,000. Once we’ve chatted and decided we’re a perfect fit, the next step is a booking proposal. I’ll create an online quote just for you that will walk you through every necessary step to secure your date: choosing your package, signing your contract and paying your retainer online.

Q: How do I book?
