We’re almost a whole month into 2020, but I wanted to do something different for the first time and share some of my favorite images from last year!! Let me tell you, compiling this was harder than I thought it would be! I spent the better part of the day yesterday going through last year’s galleries, and I decided it needed to be broken up into two posts. This one will be dedicated to portrait sessions!! The bulk of these are engagement and bridal photos, but there are a handful of seniors and some families from my mini sessions.

Going through these, I realized just how much I shoot at some of the same locations – looking at you AgCenter Botanic Gardens ????. I tend to go to the same spots at those places over and over where I know the good light is, and I guess in my head I felt like those sessions were getting a little redundant. But the truth is, even the same place can look SO different on different days! (Crazy the way light works!) And I gotta say, I’m proud of myself for branching out and trying unique spots at each session! You really can’t even tell that a lot of these are at the same venue. It also helps that the place is 400 acres lol!

There’s a couple of bridal sessions that I can’t quite share yet, so I’ll have to remember those for 2020!! I’ll be sharing my favorite 2019 WEDDING images in another post later this week!!
