I’m Renee, a South Louisiana wedding photographer striving to create blissful experiences and timeless images. As a former CPA, I live for organization, but my secret power is handling chaos with grace on wedding days. From rounding up rowdy wedding parties to bustling dresses, I’ve got your back - without missing a shot.
The week of Erin and Brant’s wedding began with lots of fervent prayers for beautiful weather. If you live in South Louisiana, you know it seems like its been raining every. single. day!! Well, Erin’s prayers paid off and mother nature gave us the most spectacular day last Saturday! Even the wind – which we learned at Erin’s bridals can be pretty brutal out on this golf course – seemed to be cooperating. We could not have asked for better!
Erin decided to do a first look with her bridesmaids, so that meant we had to be a little sneaky with dress pictures, but it was so worth it for their sweet reaction! This is becoming one of my favorite new trends! After, we all rode over to the chapel for the next BIG moment – Erin and Brant’s first look! Guys, I’ll never get tired of these. The absolute BEST part of a first look is the fact that you get to hug each other, have a private moment without hundreds of eyes staring at you, and your groom can actually TELL you how amazing you look! You can’t do that at the altar! I know these two were looking forward to having that little private moment together so we broke out the zoom lenses and stayed way out of earshot. Erin and Brant are so comfortable and sweet together, and their love for each other is evident in the photos of that moment!
We spent about 15 minutes getting dozens of gorgeous portraits of the two of them, then family and bridal party joined us, and soon it was time for guests to arrive! In front of all their closest friends and family, Erin’s mom walked her down the aisle, and Brant’s dad officiated their ceremony as the sun set behind the white chapel in the background. It was truly picture perfect. I’m going to sound really cliche’ to say they danced the night away after that, but y’all, they really did. What. A. Party! The dance floor stayed packed the entire night and I’m pretty sure everyone had the time of their lives! It was so much fun to witness!
Erin and Brant, I’m sad that I can’t photograph y’all’s wedding every weekend! I wish y’all so many happy years together looking back on these sweet memories!
