I’m Renee, a South Louisiana wedding photographer striving to create blissful experiences and timeless images. As a former CPA, I live for organization, but my secret power is handling chaos with grace on wedding days. From rounding up rowdy wedding parties to bustling dresses, I’ve got your back - without missing a shot.
Bailey and Kevin were married on a rainy Friday afternoon at St. John the Evangelist in Plaquemine. Despite the impending weather, Bailey and her girls were so relaxed when I arrived!! It set the tone for the whole day – everyone truly enjoyed themselves. We took our time getting Bailey in her dress, then she had the sweetest first look with her bridesmaids and dad. There’s nothing quite like a father seeing his little girl in her wedding dress for the first time! We had just enough time to take portraits outside before the rain started, then we drove over to the Sugar Cain Inn for Bailey’s first look with her groom.
Choosing this historic inn for their first look was such a great decision! With wide wrap-around porches, it was simply perfect for all the portraits we needed to take while it was raining! And then we were only a block or so from church, so we were able to sneak over there before the guests to take even more bride and groom photos. These are some of my favorite portraits ever even though the weather made it a little tricky!
After mass, Bailey and Kevin second-lined into their reception to dance the night away! Fun story – these two had to change reception venues just days before the wedding! All the rain we had last week meant it would be too wet for their original plan of an outdoor reception at the James Grace House. So they completely shifted gears, and did a fantasitc job decorating the community center on such a short notice!
I’ll stop rambling now…Bailey and Kevin, I hope you love this sneak peek and are enjoying the rest of your honeymoon in the mountains!
