I’m Renee, a South Louisiana wedding photographer striving to create blissful experiences and timeless images. As a former CPA, I live for organization, but my secret power is handling chaos with grace on wedding days. From rounding up rowdy wedding parties to bustling dresses, I’ve got your back - without missing a shot.
Alex and Wesley had the most stunning classic winter wedding in Baton Rouge, Louisiana! They had a romantic evening ceremony in their family church, St. Aloysius Catholic Church, and then partied their hearts out at City Club of Baton Rouge!! Their Navy and Ivory color palette and sharp black tuxes emanated everything that is classic and timeless!
I arrived at The Watermark Hotel in downtown Baton Rouge where all the girls were getting ready, and immediately felt such a calm and stress-free environment as I began photographing Alex’s stunning details! Bridal details are always such a fun way to showcase a bride’s personal style as well as the vibe she envisioned for her wedding. Alex included a personal pair of scissors, soft blue bridal heels, and a classic invitation suite complete with fresh floral pieces. Quick tip, if you are a bride, make sure to ask your florist to provide some extra floral stems to include with your details for your photographer! This is an easy and fun way to elevate your photos!!
The details were one of the many things I loved about photographing Alex and Wesley’s wedding day! However, what stuck with me the most was hearing the unique, movie-worthy story of how these two first laid eyes on each other. Let’s just say a random curb at LSU campus during spring testing had a big part to play! They just so happened to be at the right place at the right time when Alex ALMOST hit the ground from slipping on the curb…and guess who was right there to catch her? Who she didn’t know then, would become her future husband, Wesley! I couldn’t be happier for these two as they enter into this new season of life together!! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Freeburgh!!
