Alex’s mom and my mom are best friends, and I remember the day mom told me about Alex and Nick’s first date. He took her on a bicycle ride then a tour of the Abita Brewery in Abita Springs, LA. How unique and adventurous is that? It definitely inspired a future date day for me and Caleb!

The day of Alex and Nick’s session, I was sitting at home watching it pour outside (story of this summer so far, right?) I’ve had so many sessions rained out lately and I thought for sure this one would be too, but when Nick texted me that they were on the way, I knew that it would take more than a little shower to scare away this adventurous couple. Instead of complaining that it would mess up her hair – which would totally be me – Alex embraced the misty weather. These two obviously have so much fun together and it was truly a privilege to capture these sweet memories for them at Rosedown Plantation in St. Francisville.
