Sometimes, when I leave a wedding at the end of the night, I feel like I could rewind 8 hours and do it all over again. This was one of those weddings! Allison and Bradley are THE most laid back couple, a quality that is so important in this time of ever changing mandates and wedding plans. They took it all in stride and then some. Allison’s smile lit up the room the entire night!!
Their day was perfectly focused on family and friends, and I don’t doubt that it would have been that way pandemic or not. Allison got ready with her bridesmaids who were all the closest friends…and they had the best time getting ready. So many laughs! Her details were simple, classic, and so meaningful. Allison wore earrings that were given to her mom by her dad when Allison was born, and her monogrammed handkerchief and lucky sixpence were from her aunt when she was little!
After their ceremony, Allison and Bradley and 50 of their closest friends and family had a beautiful dinner at the Country Club of Louisiana, complete with laughs and tears during some wonderful speeches. I can’t wait to celebrate more with these two at their dance reception later this year!!!
I also want to give a shout out to Kate Cook with KBCook Weddings. Hiring a wedding planner right now is more important than ever!! Coordinating so many moving pieces on such a big day is a monumental task in normal times, but throw in restrictions and mandates that literally change DAILY…having someone to handle that for you is priceless! Just to put it in perpective: I’ve had two weddings not get completely rescheduled since this pandemic started. TWO weddings that still happened on their original wedding date with just a modified guest count. Kate planned and coordinated both of them! Crazy right?! Hire a planner, y’all.
