I’m Renee, a South Louisiana wedding photographer striving to create blissful experiences and timeless images. As a former CPA, I live for organization, but my secret power is handling chaos with grace on wedding days. From rounding up rowdy wedding parties to bustling dresses, I’ve got your back - without missing a shot.
Like so many other couples this year, Triandafylia and Adam’s wedding looked nothing like they envisioned it. In this case, I think it was even better!!! These two weren’t supposed to get married until this December, but when the pandemic broke out they decided early on that they just couldn’t wait! They downsized the guest list and switched venues to Nottoway, and it. was. gorgeous.
One of my favorite things about intimate weddings is just how emotional they are. When you don’t have the distraction of hundreds of guests, it’s easier to slow down and take it all in. Triandafylia is SO genuinely sweet, y’all. Seriously, we chatted over email for months but I didn’t actually meet her until the week before the wedding, and she’s one of those people that instantly makes you feel like you’re her best friend! You could tell just how excited she was to marry Adam from the moment she started doing her makeup, and I know she FULLY enjoyed every moment of their day.
Normally, fewer guests, a small wedding party and no dancing or events at the reception means fewer photo opportunities and thus a smaller blog post, buuuuuut that’s not the case here. We had a super relaxed timeline, beautiful weather and basically all of Nottoway to ourselves, which meant tons of portraits! (And tons of A/C breaks from the heat!)
Enjoy of few (many) of my favorites from their day!!
Bridal fashion, COVID style. Who would have ever imagined lace-trimmed bridal masks would be a thing?
If I had to pick one place to take portraits for the rest of my life, it would be this white ballroom at Nottoway, without a doubt.
These two cousins were the SWEETEST! Camille was checking on Triandafylia all day reminding her to *just breathe* – even during the ceremony! My heart!
Okay, this moment was the best. Right as Triandafylia was about to walk down the aisle, the coordinator at Nottoway signaled to Adam to come out to the hall. Triandafylia was alone and just HAD to see him!! They impromptu-decided to walk down the aisle together and we all barely held it together. I love how they did their day on their terms!!
