I’m Renee, a South Louisiana wedding photographer striving to create blissful experiences and timeless images. As a former CPA, I live for organization, but my secret power is handling chaos with grace on wedding days. From rounding up rowdy wedding parties to bustling dresses, I’ve got your back - without missing a shot.
When I met Katie and BC last year at their engagement session, none of us knew how much things would change before their wedding. And I mean that in the most literal sense of the phrase! Not only did COVID throw a big initial wrench in their plans, but the week of their wedding was full of even more curveballs. Katie and BC were one of my first couples to pivot when the virus broke out, and they pretty much immediately decided they still wanted to get married on their original June 6 wedding day, whatever that would look like. They decided to downside and move their Baton Rouge ceremony to New Orleans where they just moved into their home together. Plan B was City Park…which soon turned into Plan C at Audubon Park due to potential gatherings and protests. Then Mother Nature stepped in and Tropical Storm Cristobal made them find another venue again.. the MORNING of the wedding.
It was enough to drive any couple crazy but these two handled every obstacle with such joy and grace and never complained once! There were no decorations on the pews, and no organ music playing as Katie walked down the aisle, but the look on BC’s face says it all. Last Saturday’s wedding was short, sweet, and completely focused on what mattered most: the beginning of two people’s new life together as one, and it. was. perfect.
Katie and BC, I hope you’ve enjoyed your Florida honeymoon and can’t wait to celebrate with you both in September!
