I was so excited when Blake and Emily contacted me about photographing their wedding next February. I’ve known Blake for a little over a year, and Emily works with several friends of mine (including Alex!) so I couldn’t wait to meet her! Plus, their wedding will be at Ashley Manor, and I might be a little biased since my uncle-in-law is the chef, but they really do have some of the best food in Baton Rouge!

Emily and Blake’s engagement session was on a rare rain-free afternoon in August, but Mother Nature had something else up her sleeve for us. I think it was the hottest afternoon of the year! And these two were such troopers, you can’t even tell how hot it was (and that I was sweating profusely behind the camera!) They handled the heat like champs and looked great doing it, but I’m still hoping the weather for their winter wedding will be a little more mild!

In case you can’t tell looking at these pictures, Emily has the best smile and laugh! There were no “fake laughs” or corny jokes at this session. These giggles were all natural and so contagious! I dare you to not smile scrolling through these 🙂
