Dawn & Gary seriously couldn’t have had a more perfect day: beautiful weather, a heartfelt ceremony mass, tons of portrait time for just the two of them, choreographed dances and one great party! I can’t decide what my favorite part was. It’s a toss up between their sunset portraits when we snuck away to the levee downtown for 10 minutes, or the amazing first dance that Dawn and Gary decided to do just DAYS before their wedding!

After their sweet afternoon ceremony at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly, the newlyweds hopped in a limo to whisk them off downtown. Dawn and Gary wanted a later reception + lots of portrait time, so they included an hour just for them in their timeline. We took a few portraits in front of the State Capitol for 30 minutes…which seems like such a long time but actually FLEW by! Time just seems to move faster on wedding days! Then their limo took them to the Trademark on Third where they enjoyed a private rooftop dinner overlooking the Mississippi River. When it was time for their reception, they kicked off the partying with the most amazing dance routine! Wedding. day. goals!!
