I’m Renee, a South Louisiana wedding photographer striving to create blissful experiences and timeless images. As a former CPA, I live for organization, but my secret power is handling chaos with grace on wedding days. From rounding up rowdy wedding parties to bustling dresses, I’ve got your back - without missing a shot.
Amy’s favorite holiday is Halloween, so it’s only fitting that this blog goes live today! This wedding was so much fun for me to be a part of, complete with kilts, bagpipes, and Irish dancers. One of the best things about this job is getting to meet wonderful people and experience the things that are special to them – which oftentimes includes family traditions or cultures that I would otherwise know nothing about! Throughout Amy and Mike’s engagement I learned that this particular plaid pattern, called a “tartan,” is special to them, and it was important that it was incorporated into their day. Amy did such a great job tying that pattern in throughout the entire wedding, from her accessories down to the paper sleeves holding the exit confetti, and of course Mike’s kilt!
It’s rare that a wedding day goes by without a few happy tears, and last Saturday was no exception. One of the sweetest moments was seeing Amy’s oldest daughter tearing up during her mom’s vows. It was a reminder that wedding days are often not just about two people, but two families coming together, and the heartfelt joy that families feel for each other’s happiness.
Amy and Mike, thank you for trusting me to document this special day for you! It was truly an honor. Enjoy this sneak peek of a few of my favorite images!
