I’m Renee, a South Louisiana wedding photographer striving to create blissful experiences and timeless images. As a former CPA, I live for organization, but my secret power is handling chaos with grace on wedding days. From rounding up rowdy wedding parties to bustling dresses, I’ve got your back - without missing a shot.
Jennifer and Brett are just the sweetest and I was so honored to be a part of their special day! We’re officially in the thick of spring wedding season and the soft pastel colors can’t help but bring you joy, after what seemed like an extra long winter. The lavender roses and mauve beaded Adrianna Papell bridesmaids dresses Jennifer chose are definitely new favorites! The colors matched the backdrop of the Old State Capitol (and that green door!!) perfectly for portraits. I was in photographer heaven!
After sharing a first look inside the ballroom, we jumped outside and took advantage of the clouds rolling in. Normally I don’t pray for overcast weather, but at this venue they actually work in your favor if you want epic portraits in front of the capitol! Add that to the fact that the azaleas were blooming, and it was simply perfect. Doing a first look meant we had plenty of time to capture all of their wedding party and family photos, plus tons of couples photos, with lots of time to spare before the ceremony. Then we were able to scoot off to the reception sooner… which was SO worth it because the band was AH-MAZING!
After dancing the night away, the newlyweds made their getaway in a shower of rose petals, and now they are enjoying HAWAII!! Jenn and Brett, it was an honor to capture your day and I hope you love looking back on these photos for many many years to come!
