Wedding Wednesday | Portrait Session Locations

Welcome to my first “Wedding Wednesday” post! Here I hope to share answers to frequently asked questions that I’ve learned being a bride and wedding photographer. For my first post, I’m actually going to share……. something not wedding related! I’m living on the edge here and breaking the rules already LOL. However, this does apply to engagement and bridal sessions, so let’s jump in, shall we?

Hands-down, the most frequently asked question I get from clients is “Where can we have our session?” One day I hope to find myself several acres to build a house on, with lots of space for portraits. But until that day, I’ve put together a list of popular photo session locations all in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas, as a comprehensive resource for all my couples and seniors to refer to. This is by no means an exhaustive list…so be sure to check back for updates as I add to it!

Some of these locations I’ve shot at, some I haven’t, and many of them charge a separate fee for photography. There’s an asterisk * next to the ones that are good options for summer sessions because they don’t close at 5 p.m. – aka several hours before sunset!
