Hey there! I'm Renee. When I'm not behind my camera at a gorgeous wedding, you can find me wandering through Pottery Barn, coffee in hand, daydreaming about the next travel adventure I'm planning. Although now that I'm a mom to my sweet baby girl Camille, that "wandering" is usually of the online variety! People often refer to me as a planner, to-do list obsessed, and a recovering perfectionist that sometimes over-thinks things (just ask my husband!) One of my greatest passions is bringing joy to others, even - and especially - when they least expect it.
I'm mostly known for multitasking at wedding days by sewing buttons back on dresses, finding lost groomsman bow ties, bustling trains, and securing veils, all while capturing every special moment for my sweet brides and grooms. See, I don't believe that a wedding photographer's job begins and ends with "getting the shot." That's definitely a huge part of it, but equally as important is the idea that your experience with your wedding photographer can - and should be - easy and enjoyable! If you're looking for "just another wedding vendor" to take some photos, I'm probably not your girl. But if you're interested in someone who will be on your team before, during, and after the biggest day of your life...then let's chat!
Let's get to know each other!
"I couldn't have picked a better photographer for our special day. Renee Lorio is one of the best photographers out there hands down! So easy to work with."

Fun fact - I never drank a sip of coffee until college. And I was instantly addicted! I'll drink normal old hot coffee (with french vanilla creamer) most days to be frugal, but there's something special and indulgent about those once or twice a week trips to Starbucks for an iced vanilla latte or caramel macchiato!!

I'm a Louisiana girl through and through, but a little piece of my heart resides at a much higher altitude! The beach? I can take it or leave it. But the mountains are always calling and I just can't seem to get enough of them. Maybe because growing up the biggest mountain around was... the Mississippi River levee? Ha ha..

My husband thinks I'm nuts, but I LOVE wandering the stores at back to school time!! Office supply HEAVEN! And there's something about writing with a good, smooth pen that's just...ahhh. One day, Caleb came home with a stack of extra notebooks from work and I was more excited than if it had been a dozen roses!

I believe that a day as important as your wedding day should be a joyful experience. You've put months of hard work into what will be the first day of the rest of your life... and it shouldn't be stressful, it should be fun!! When else can you celebrate such a huge milestone in your life with all your closest family and friends? You deserve to look back on your photos years from now and remember exactly how amazing that day was.
In my opinion, a wedding photographer's job is so much more than just taking pretty pictures. Don't get me wrong, that's a HUGE part of it, and something I enjoy immensely. But I was a bride once too, and I know how just uncomfortable and stressful it is to be on the other side of the camera. My goal is to give you not only beautiful images, but an enjoyable experience as well!!
